The Telluride Association of Realtors is an organization that just keeps on giving. With each passing year and every changing season, TAR continuously strives to go beyond its call of duty, priding itself on a variety of philanthropic contributions to the Telluride community and beyond. One of TAR’s most successful charitable programs is its First Time Homebuyer’s Fund. Locally conceived of and cultivated, this program has helped countless Telluride residents purchase their first homes since its inception in 2002. “I’m so thankful for the help this program has provided me,” says Craig Wasserman, teacher at the Telluride Mountain School and 2004 FTHBF recipient. “I’ve been a teacher in Telluride for six years and love living here. Having this opportunity has not only allowed me to get into the housing market, it has afforded me the ability to stay here and remain active in the community.”
